We are sad to announce that after nearly 80 years in operation, Overlee Preschool Association will permanently close its doors at the end of the 2022-2023 school year. It has been a pleasure and a privilege serving our local community and being a small part of the upbringing of generations of Arlington children. To our alumni and friends: thank you for community and friendship over these many decades. We are heartened that the spirit of Overlee will continue to live on in you and your children!
If you would like to get in touch with us, please reach out to our president at firstname.lastname@example.org, or our director at email@example.com.
A Parent Cooperative Pre-School
Established in 1945, Overlee seeks to provide a stimulating and happy environment that will help children learn to respect themselves; to respect the feelings, ideas, and rights of others; to make choices, resolve conflicts, and solve problems; and to explore new ways of doing things – with the belief that this will help each child develop as a confident, whole individual. The school respects each child as a unique individual and has planned a program that helps every member of the class develop at his/her own rate – socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually.
Children have an innate connection to nature. Being outside supports the open-ended, self-directed play that is critical for their physical and mental development.
Our admissions process begins with the online application. We have our annual open house in January where you will get a chance to meet other parents. Alternatively, we invite you to book a classroom tour.
